The

Adventurers

We (Nathan and Liz) met when we were undergraduate students at the University of Washington. We went to graduate school together in San Diego and eventually ended up back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We love hiking and being outdoors. We also love cheese, so the Alpine tour was a perfect fit for us. Never has there been a more perfect mix of breathtaking views and melty fondue.

The Gang's all Here!

We were lucky to get to spend these two weeks in the Alps with Liz's Familywho also joined on the tour. It was perfect timing to celebrate her parent's 40th anniversary. It was super special to get to spend this time exploring together, and it turns out the 60+ set are still very active hikers! (On at least one occasion they beat us up a mountain while we were distracted by cheese plates).

Post Trip Reunion

A special part of joining on a Rick Steve's tour is the people you enjoy your journey with. In January we reunited with our guide, Martin, and other tour friends to reminise of our summer together. As a bonus we also got to see Rick!

Fun!

The members of our tour were the perfect mix of responsible and fun loving. Everyone was respectful and on time, but we also knew how to have fun together. I love the photo on the left. We stopped at a rest stop with a giant teeter-totter. Of course everyone HAD to get on it. Doesn't matter if you're a student or a retiree, no one can resist the Alpine teeter-totter!
